Instructions on how to apply waterproof paint SikaCoat® Plus
Part 1: Wall surfaces without reinforcement:
1. Blending the liner:
- Use SikaCoat Plus and mix with about 10% clean water (by weight).
- When complete mixing, proceed to apply primer on super absorbent surface.
- Let the primer dry for more than 3 hours before continuing to apply.
2. Apply the first layer:
- Use brush, roller or sprayer to apply the first coat of SikaCoat Plus.
- The norm is about 0.3kg/m2 for each layer.
3. Apply the second layer:
- Once the first coat has dried, apply the second coat using the same method.
- Ensure full coverage and the norm is about 0.3kg/m2.
Part 2: Fiber-reinforced wall surfaces:
1. Blending the liner:
- Use SikaCoat Plus and mix with about 10% clean water (by weight).
Apply primer on super absorbent surface and let it dry for more than 3 hours before continuing.
2. Apply the first layer:
- Use brush, roller or sprayer to apply the first coat of SikaCoat Plus.
- The norm is about 0.8-1.0 kg/m2 for each layer.
3. Spreading reinforcing film:
- Place the reinforcing film on the first damp layer of SikaCoat Plus.
- Make sure the film is tightly placed and evenly compacted, eliminating air bubbles and wrinkles.
4. Apply the second layer:
- While the first coat is still damp, apply the second coat of SikaCoat Plus.
- Rated around 0.8-1.0 kg/m2 and ensure full coverage of both sides of the reinforcement.
5. Apply the final coat:
- Wait for the second coat to dry completely and proceed to apply the final coat.
- Rated about 0.4 kg/m2 to complete the final coat.
6. Surface protection:
- Avoid exposing surface to rain until completely dry.
