Instructions for applying waterproof paint Sika Wall® 340 Smooth
1. Prepare the surface before application
- Surface cleaning: Surface should be thoroughly cleaned, dry, free of dust, oil, or old paint.
- Treatment of new concrete: For new concrete to dry fully, a period of 3 to 7 days depending on weather conditions is required before starting construction.
- Remove seams and edges that are too thick: It is necessary to remove any seams or surface edges that exceed the required thickness.
- Fill gaps: If the surface has a lot of gaps, you should apply a first coat of paint to fill these gaps. Then it becomes easier and quicker to apply subsequent layers.
- Wet the surface before use: Before starting to apply, wet the surface to create the best conditions for using the product.
2. Sika Wall® 340 Smooth . Mixing Process
- Mix the right ratio: Mix 1kg of Sika Wall® 340 Smooth with 0.7kg - 1kg of cement (white or gray) or putty, until the mixture is homogeneous. No need to add water.
- Mix well: Make sure to mix well to avoid clumping and ensure the best product quality.
- Mixing method: In case of mixing in small steps, it is recommended to use a mixer with small stirrer and mix for at least 3 minutes. If mixing is larger, make sure the mixer is running at 500 rpm. Minimum mixing time is 3 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved.
Note:
• Let the mixture stand for 1-3 minutes.
• Different types of cement can produce different colors. Please perform a test before proceeding with the actual construction. The final color depends on the type and amount of cement used.
3. How to apply waterproof paint Sika Wall® 340 Smooth
- Apply the first coat: Use machine spray technology to apply the first coat of Sika Wall® 340 Smooth.

- Surface polishing (optional): If necessary, you can polish the surface with 380 grit sandpaper.
- Wait for the surface to dry (depending on conditions): To ensure best performance, wait 3 to 7 days before proceeding with top coats.
